  11. This utility is used to convert information in an OYC catalog
  12. to move information from one line in a catalog, and add it to
  13. another line in the same catalog.

  16. HomeCraft in creating catalogs of pre-entered information.
  17. There is no warranty and we do not provide technical support
  18. for this utility.  It is provided only because some people
  19. may find it helpful.

  21. This utility may be used with OYC catalog files created by any
  22. of the following software:
  23.  
  24.         ORGANIZE! Your Collection (DOS Version)
  25.         ORGANIZE! Your Collection (Windows Version)
  26.         ORGANIZE! Your Collection (Windows Multimedia Version)
  27.         ORGANIZE! Your... (all shareware versions)
  28.         ORGANIZE! Your... (all lite versions)

  31. The COPYLINE.EXE file must be copied to the same drive and directory
  32. where the OYC.EXE file is located.  It will not work if placed in
  33. any other directory.
  34.  
  35. To use this utility go to the DOS prompt for the directory
  36. containing the OYC.EXE file, type COPYLINE, and push ENTER.  This
  37. utility may be run in Windows by using the "RUN" option on the
  38. files menu.

  40. When the utility starts you will be prompted to enter the name of
  41. the catalog you want the utility to work on.  If the catalog is
  42. on another drive or in another directory, you can also enter the
  43. drive and path.  (Do not enter a filename extension, only enter
  44. the name of the catalog).

  46. The next screen shows a list of the lines (fields) in the
  47. specified catalog, with a letter next to each line.  Push a
  48. capital letter to select the line you want to move the 
  49. information from.  Push a lower case letter to select the line
  50. you want to move the information to (the destination line).

  52. Then push F6 to start the conversion.

  54. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR CATALOG BEFORE
  55. USING THIS, OR ANY OTHER, UTILITY TO MODIFY THE CATALOG.

  58. This utility is most commonly used to modify a catalog so it
  59. can be used with the Windows multimedia version of OYC.  In
  60. the multimedia version line 21 is used to store the multimedia
  61. information (such as the name of the sound file) and thus it
  62. can not be used for catalog information.  If line 21 is being
  63. used in an existing catalog, this utility can be used to move
  64. the information on line 21 to another line (the destination
  65. line).

  67. The information being moved will be added to the right of any
  68. information already on the destination line.  A slash will be
  69. placed after the existing information on the destination line
  70. and the moved information will be added after the slash.

  72. If there is not sufficient room on the destination line to fit
  73. all of the information being moved, the extra characters will
  74. be dropped.  (Before using this utility you can use the "Set
  75. Up Catalog" option on the Utilities Menu in the DOS version of
  76. OYC--or the Catalog Maintainance feature in the Windows version--
  77. to lengthen the destination line.).
